Guide to Breast Lift Surgery
A woman’s breasts undergo many changes, as she ages. These changes may be due to various reasons such as pregnancy, recovering from an illness, fluctuations in weight etc. Due to all these reasons, the skin loses its elasticity and the breasts begin to sag or droop. However, this is not the end of the world, for there is a procedure called breast lift that can handle this. Many women of today get this surgery done these days.

While there are certain risks which include possible scarring, mismatch of breasts in very rare cases, nipples could be not aligned evenly. However, it’s always best to have an experienced and qualified surgeon to do the job.

Will there be a dressing?
Yes, there will be a compressive dressing, thereafter on your doctor’s advice you might be advised to wear a supportive bra for some weeks.
Can I bath and shower after the breast lift surgery?
Your doctor will give your further instructions with regards to the same as it depends from case to case.
What can’t I do after surgery/treatment and for how long?
Generally speaking, your activity will be restricted and limited for at least a couple of days following your surgery, your doctor will explain to you in detail what you can do and what you shouldn’t.
What is the cost of the breast lift procedure?
Costs vary depending on various factors such as the location of the place that you undertake the surgery; the doctor that performs the operation, the extent of the treatment etc.
How long will recovery take?
After the breast lift surgery, the dressing will be removed after some days. Also, the stitches will be removed after about two weeks or so. You may feel some soreness and tenderness and at times a shooting pain. However, your doctor will prescribe you medication, which will take care of the pain.
A few days following your breast lift surgery, you will have to restrict your movements, and not stretch as it would, in turn, stretch your scars. Avoid overhead lifting at all costs. Your doctor will advise you, on what you can and cannot do.
A breast lift procedure is quite normal these days, with so many women opting to do this surgery in order to enhance their appearance. Following the doctor’s advice properly and going for regular treatments will ensure that you’ll get the best of the breast lift surgery.
